Over the years, Dunblaine has been privileged to meet and develop a network with numerous educational professionals and specialists who augment our teaching and allow us to better individualize our approach. These specialists work with us in a variety of ways, by providing professional development for our staff, liaising with parents and teachers, or working individually with students during or after school hours.

Dr. Audrey Huberman   🌐 ✉️
Educational Specialist

B.A., B.Ed., M.Ed., Ed.D.
 

Audrey Huberman is a Doctor of Education. She is a faculty member at Ryerson University where she lectures on social-emotional intelligence. Audrey maintains a private practice in Toronto specializing in teaching and counseling families, parents and individuals of all ages in the areas of social, emotional, and behavioural skills. Her expertise has been featured in Canadian Living and Today’s Parent.

Francine Persico   🌐 ✉️
Occupational Therapist

Francine Persico is a registered Occupational Therapist with a Master of Science degree in Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto, and an Honours Bachelor degree in Health Sciences from The University of Western Ontario. She is a member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO). Francine is the Co-Director of Building Blocks Therapy, a private practice providing occupational therapy services to children and their families in the Toronto area in school and home settings.


Francine has extensive experience working with children in diverse settings to promote skill development and independence in the areas of self-care, school and play. Francine has worked with children from preschool through adolescence to provide assessment, consultation and intervention with a focus on fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, printing and writing skills, activities of daily living, self-regulation, feeding challenges and executive functioning. She is excited to provide client and
family centred care to enable meaningful participation and support children in meeting their goals at the Dunblaine School, and has been working with us since 2015.


In collaboration with children, families, and schools, Francine uses clinical skills and knowledge combined with play, creativity, and client interests to develop skills, build confidence, and achieve goals. When not working, Francine spends time with her three kids, enjoys being outside, playing hockey, baking and knitting.

Frances Fishman   🌐 ✉️
Behavioural and Educational Consultant

BCBA, M.Ed., B.A. Hons. (Psych)

Frances Fishman is the founder and owner of The Play Base. She is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst with her M.Ed. in Developmental Psychology and Education. Frances is a hard working, empathetic, and loving woman, leader and entrepreneur who took her passion and turned it into her career.

With over 12 years experience in behaviour modification in the home, community and educational settings, as well as being a mother of 3, she has developed a skill set and a perspective that has allowed her tremendous success with her team and client base. She is an optimist who believes that every person can be given the chance to live to their highest potential when given a loving approach and a team who believes in them and sees the incredible potential each individual has.

Stephanie So has been a part of the Dunblaine team as a physiotherapist since 2010.

Andrea Primmer   🌐 ✉️
Physiotherapist

MScPT, BSHE (Hon)

Andrea graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master of Science degree in Physiotherapy.   Andrea has worked in paediatrics for over 10 years in a variety of healthcare settings including Holland Bloorview’s inpatient and outpatient units, homecare, and in a private clinic.  She has taken a variety of post-graduate courses including Introductory to Pediatric NDT, Pediatric Foot and Ankle Deformity management by Beverly Cusick, A Systematic, Intensive Approach to Maximize Neuroplasticity and Minimize Maladaptive Habits in Children and Teens with CP by Pia Stampe.  Andrea is a member in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists in Ontario.

Lorry Colangeolo   ✉️
Yoga Instructor

CKYT, CYKF

Lorry Colangelo is a certified Kripalu Yoga and YogaKids International Yoga teacher with a passion for health and well-being.  She began practicing Yoga over 30 years ago, finding an immediate love and passion for the thousands year old practice. Since then, Lorry has gone on to teach at Markham Stouffville Hospital to adolescent children dealing with anxiety and depression, trained with the buddhist monk, peace activist, author, and teacher Thich Nhat Han, and has been certified
in mindfulness practices at the University of Toronto.

 

With her over 30 years of experience, Lorry has been able to
bring her skillset to her teachings with everyone from adults to
neurodiverse children. Lorry brings her passion of Yoga and the
importance of mind, body, and breath to a balanced everyday life.

Alisa Green   🌐 ✉️
Speech-Language Pathologist

M.H.Sc.

Alisa Green is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist with over 30 years of experience. In that time, she has worked with children of all ages, and with a variety of oral, written, and social communication concerns. She is proficient in treating both social communication and language delays. Her practice focuses on articulation, oral-motor and oral-sensory awareness, and issues in orofacial myology.
